Aurora Material Solutions Appoints Daniel Lowery as Technology Director of its Engineered Thermoplastics Business Segment
August 4, 2025 – Aurora Material Solutions announces the appointment of Daniel Lowery as technology director of the company’s engineered thermoplastics (ETP) business segment.
In this position, Lowery will lead the ETP technology team in formulating engineered thermoplastic compounds, developing new material solutions and working with operations on scale-ups. He will also provide technical assistance to procurement, commercial and customers to deliver rapid growth in the ETP application focus areas.
Lowery joins us from EMS-Chemie, where he managed a team developing and commercializing specialty polyamides in niche markets. He has also held leadership roles at Ascend Performance Materials, SABIC/GE and Eastman Kodak. Lowery has successfully commercialized new products, led teams to deliver growth programs, and engaged closely with business leaders to develop technology roadmaps aligning with market needs. His background includes vast experience in working with materials such as PC, PEI, PPSU, PSU, PA12, PA6, PA66, PBT and ABS. He also holds a Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

Lowery holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Rochester Institute of Technology and earned multiple patents related to high-performance polymer technologies.
